Anya Gunewardena, BS

Staff Research Associate
Pediatric Endocrinology

Anya comes to the Feldman Lab after graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She is particularly passionate about stem cell biology and its intersection with gene therapy. Her current project involves ADAMTS1 as she works to examine the gene's contribution to adipogenesis and overall metabolic health.

Jeremy Jackson, BA

Administrative Lab Coordinator
Pediatrics

Since graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Jeremy has had a varied career working in healthcare administration, venue house management, production coordination, and most recently as a publications coordinator for a practice based research network. Jeremy provides administrative support for several PIs in the UCSF Department of Pediatrics. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys baking, camping, watching movies, and spending time with his family.

Liang Li, PhD

Postdoc Scholar - Employee
Pediatrics

Liang earned a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from Peking Union Medical College in China. During his PhD, he worked on epigenetic factors regulating neurogenesis and corticogenesis. He is now interested in studying the molecular mechanisms underlying biogenesis of beige adipocytes. Outside of the lab, he is a food lover, and he enjoys working out, playing badminton, and exploring nature.

Isabella Niu, MD

Access Extension

Isabella comes to the Feldman Lab as part of her combined adult and pediatric endocrinology fellowship, after completing her medical school and residency at the University of California, San Diego. Since her introduction to the impacts of circadian rhythm on metabolism through discussions with Dr. Feldman, she has been fascinated with this area and currently is working on a project examining whether a mutation in Period 3 affects adipogenesis in humans similarly to previously published mouse studies by the Feldman lab.

Tenzin Nyima, BS

Staff Research Associate I
Pediatric Endocrinology

Tenzin comes to the Feldman Lab after graduating from the University of California, Irvine with a BS in Public Health Sciences. She is interested in the study of stem cell biology and hopes to increase her understanding of how diseases occur, particularly diabetes. Outside of the lab, she enjoys painting, spending time with friends and family, baking, and learning new languages.

Radha Singh, PhD

Postdoc Scholar - Employee
Pediatrics

Radha joined Feldman's Lab following her first Postdoc at the University of Calgary, Canada. She earned her PhD from India. She is particularly interested in obesity and metabolic disorders. Her current project examines the role of Klf15 in the regulation of adipose stem cell physiology.
